The Assault Rifle is a firearm in Dead Rising 4.
Unlike the older models from Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3, this version is a newly manufactured model designed for the Pentagon mercenary organization Obscuris. It is engineered for tactical customization, lightweight construction, and precision accuracy.
In its base form, the rifle can eliminate Obscuris soldiers or hostile survivors with one to three shots, depending on whether it has received any upgrades. When upgraded with the "Greatly Improved Critical Hits" skill, it can sometimes kill human enemies with a single shot or two. This makes the weapon well-suited for close-quarters assault. However, this weapon is outperformed by the LMG in terms of damage output and accuracy.
