The Auger is a combo weapon in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is created by combining a pitchfork with a drill motor.

This combo weapon is described as:

"Like a much larger version of the Driller. Imagine a pitchfork spinning at 100 RPM and imagine what sort of damage you could do if you stuck that in someone. Yikes."[1]

TriviaEdit

  • Its alternate attack is similar to the Excavator's alternate attack from Dead Rising.
  • The weapon's name and base concept is a reference to the 1992 Sega CD game Night Trap. The weapon in Night Trap is used by the vampiric Augers, those being the antagonists of the game.
