The Battle Axe is a weapon in Dead Rising.

It is a giant metal axe once used as a weapon in historical times, but now preserved as an antique. It is one of the strongest weapons in the game.

The Battle Axe is a very powerful weapon which kills zombies as easily as the katana. It is slow but has a very large range for killing multiple zombies in less swings; it has been sharpened to the point where it can bisect zombies in a single swing. It breaks after mild usage.

Attacks

• Primary: Tap the button to swing the battle axe. This attack is capable of bisecting zombies.
• Secondary: Hold down and release the button to charge and swing the battle axe in a circle. This attack is capable of bisecting zombies.
• Thrown: Hold down the trigger to go into aim mode and press the button to throw the battle axe. This attack is capable of bisecting zombies.

Trivia

Unlike other weapons, zombies and survivors killed by the battle axe disappear. The weapon's duration can be enhanced with the Criminal Biography book.
