The battleaxe is a weapon in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. The battleaxe is a two-handed axe specifically designed for combat.

It has good range and killing power, but it is uncommon. Two can be found at the Ned's Knicknackery shop. Its durability and power can be enhanced with the Blades and Sports magazines.

AttacksEdit

Main: Tap / to swing the battleaxe. Combo: Quickly tap / again to perform a follow-up swing. Combo 2: Quickly tap / a third time to perform a third swing. Alternate: Hold / to swing the axe in a 360-degree circle. Jump: When attempting to do a jump kick with this weapon, an air cleave will be done instead, slicing open a zombie from the top down. This is an attack similar to the broadsword's.

TriviaEdit

• The Battleaxe shares its secondary spin attack with the combo weapon Defiler, but does not give prestige points for kills.
• In Dead Rising 2, battleaxe is one word, but in Dead Rising, the weapon is two words: "battle axe".
