Brett Styles is a survivor appearing in Dead Rising and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop .

He is found in Huntin' Shack in North Plaza during the unmarked scoop Gun Shop Standoff. He has occupied the gun store with two other survivors, and is initially distrustful of Frank West.

Gun Shop Standoff

Brett has occupied the gun store in North Plaza with two other survivors, Alyssa Laurent and Jonathan Picardsen. When Frank approaches, they mistake him for a zombie and open fire until he exits the store. Once they realize their mistake, Jonathan goes over to ask Frank what he wants with them.

Frank offers to take them to the Security Room and promises that a helicopter is coming to rescue them. Jonathan is doubtful as he has seen that the door to the Security Room has been welded shut. Brett then requests Frank to provide some proof by bringing them a picture of the duct.

Once Frank shows them the required photo, the three survivors agree to follow him.

Infinity Mode

Main article: Infinity Mode

In Infinity Mode, Brett appears in Huntin' Shack at North Plaza from 4:19:00 to 5:00:00 and is armed with a Shotgun. In his equipment he carries a Golden Brown Pizza, a Paint Can, a Baseball Bat, a Step Ladder and a Nail gun.

Trivia

• In Chop Till You Drop, completing Gun Shop Standoff and rescuing Brett rewards Frank with the Ammo Belt.
• Brett is the only survivor in the game armed with a machine gun - which is not even sold in the mall's gun shop.
• Brett is one of the few non-psychopaths to drop cooked food in Infinity Mode. His shotgun also makes him more dangerous than the average survivor.
• Brett can be seen in the Tokyo Game Show build as a survivor named "Kent". He was on top of an isle in Seon's Food & Stuff wielding a Machine Gun. When talked to, he'd give directions to Isabela.
