Chairs are a melee-weapon that can knock out or kill zombies. However, an alternative use is to make a barricade with them. This has a good use in infinity mode at the cafe, if done correctly, the player can make a large wall of chairs in each entrance that the zombies cannot break like usual barricades, thus creating a new safe-spot for the player.
