Chuck and Frank have many clothing options in Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, Dead Rising 2: Case West, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Clothing found in the game is purely cosmetic and does not give the player any extra benefits, with the exception of the DLC skill pack outfits and the Knight Armor.
Clothing can be found in various stores and places around Fortune City. To wear a piece of clothing, press 
/
next to it when prompted. Each clothing item falls into one of four categories: head, face, body, or feet. Special clothing items may be unlocked as rewards for earning achievements or completing certain challenges within the game. These outfits are stored in the clothing locker in the Safe House restroom, alongside the player's default outfit and any DLC outfits that are owned.
In Dead Rising 2, changing into every piece of clothing in the game (excluding unlockable clothing) will unlock the Chuck Greene: Cross Dresser? achievement/trophy.

Trivia[]
- Chuck's jacket brand is "Ijiek," the romaji for the first name of the creator of Dead Rising, Keiji Inafune, spelled backwards. Ijiek brand sportswear always have the number 4 on them. A canceled avatar for the Xbox 360 also included this jacket.
- Chuck reacts differently depending on the type of clothing he wears. For example, if the player dresses him in children's clothing, he might say, "This feels funny!" or "I'm a big boy now!"
Clothing dispensers side by side
- Although not seen in the regular game, there are clothing dispenser boxes that can be accessed with mods on the PC version of Dead Rising 2. These boxes behave the same as when the player changes into a regular piece of clothing, except the player interacts with a box. Every clothing item has the same box. On the box is written "Giddeup!", "Cowboy Apparel", and "Ride 'em like a real cowboy".
Green boxes in Royal Flush Plaza after removing all items
- Strangely, the boxes appear green in areas that are empty.
- In the PC game file items.txt, there are two different dispensers for the TIR Outfit with slightly different names: "TIROutfitDispenser" and "TIROutfittDispenser" (notice the error in the latter's name).
- In the game file npcs.big, there is a file named "chest_TIR_Souvenir_Clothing.tex", which mentions three unused survivor names: Jeremy, Jrazo, and Wayne.
