Crystal O'Rourke is one of the main characters in Dead Rising: Watchtower.
Dead Rising: Watchtower[]
A survivor of the Fortune City Incident, Crystal was bitten. However, she survived the incident and went into hiding after the infection affected her normal life.
Later, she appeared at the Superdome for the government-issued Zombrex. She is initially approached by rookie journalist Chase Carter and asked for an interview, however, Crystal is uninterested of being in Chase's interview and declines but is convinced by Chase to do an interview. In the interview Crystal blames the infected people for putting a halt to the bus' arrival and then slanders Chase for being a reporter believing he is only recording the incident for money.
She further followed Chase throughout the film and helps Chase prove that the virus wasn't a new resistant strain to convince FEZA and the military to rescue any survivors in the area.
Near the ending scene, It is revealed that the military had planted bad Zombrex as part of a plan called Project Watchtower, to pressure Congress to pass Bill HR251, handing control to the East Mission quarantine to the military, where the military introduced the microchips in partnership with Phenotrans which are also shown in Dead Rising 3. Crystal is then implanted with a microchip.
In the ending scene, Chase reveals to Crystal the video Jordan Blair had recorded for them explaining the plans of the military.
Crystal is never seen again after the events of Watchtower. She likely has either went back to hiding or has started a new life.
