Introduction[]
- Main article: 72 Hour Mode (Dead Rising)
In the Introduction, Dana makes it to the mall for shelter before it is closed down due to the overwhelming number of zombies in Willamette. When Frank arrives in the Entrance Plaza, she is seen crying hysterically and being comforted by Verlene.
When the zombies break into the mall, Dana is abandoned by Verlene and attempts to climb up onto a plant display, but the zombies grab ahold of her and kill her.

Kent Swanson shows Frank West a picture of Verlene and Dana hugging, proclaiming it as his most emotionally moving shot.
Infinity Mode[]
- Main article: Infinity Mode
In Infinity Mode, Dana appears in Kids' Choice Clothing at the Paradise Plaza from 0:07:00 to 0:19:00, and is armed with a Pick Ax. In her equipment, she carries a pack of Thawed Vegetables, a Boomerang, Gems, a Hanger, and a Shovel.
Trivia[]
- Dana bears a resemblance to the survivor Lilly Deacon.
- Despite being told by Verlene that she will stay with her the whole time, the two end up separated after the zombie break-in.
- She is scripted to chase after Verlene and say, "Please help me!". She is also scripted to avoid zombies, meaning she will not run toward Verlene if there are zombies in her path.
- It is possible that she and Verlene were originally intended to be part of the scoop The Woman Who Didn't Make It, as their character models were never used for zombies. In the beta version, Rachel Decker had a completely different character model, while the model currently used for Rachel was originally used for zombies. This suggests that Rachel and Jolie Wu may have been intended as victims, while Dana and Verlene were meant to be survivors.
- If angled right, prior to the break-in, one can take a picture of Dana and may be awarded a single Erotica point for her legs.
