Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is an action-adventure sandbox game published and developed by Capcom, NeoBards Entertainment participated in the development. It is a remake of the 2006 game Dead Rising, and was released digitally on September 19, 2024, with a physical release scheduled for November 8, 2024.
It is the first entry to be released on ninth-generation consoles, and features improved visuals, as well as new voice actors for the characters, including Frank West.[1]

On June 26, 2024, it was revealed by Capcom with a 40-second teaser trailer.[2]
On July 1, 2024, it was featured in the summer 2024 Capcom Next live stream with a 1-minute trailer and additional details about the game.[3] On August 14, 2024, demo version of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
Features[]
- All-new graphics, including new 3D models for all characters and more realistic zombies, utilizing the RE Engine to support up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
- Improved save functionality, giving players additional save slots and an autosave feature.
- A modernized control set, allowing players to move while shooting, etc.
- The original game's poor survivor AI has been fixed, making survivors much smarter and competent while in Frank's party.
- Expanded photography features, allowing players to customize their shots in new ways.
- The user interface has been overhauled, e.g. the weapon display now has a durability meter and the scoop list has been moved to the left side of the screen.
- The game features additional voiceovers for survivors and missions, in addition to all dialogue being re-recorded.
- Survivors you escort will sometimes give you helpful tips like using a bench as a shield or needing food to survive, or point out a PP sticker's location.
- Time can now be accelerated to skip the long wait.
Trivia[]
- Deluxe Remaster is the first game developed by Capcom Japan since the original Dead Rising. Previous main titles were developed by Capcom Vancouver (formerly Blue Castle Games).
- Deluxe Remaster is also the first game in the series to be developed using the MT Framework to RE Engine.
- Deluxe Remaster is the first Dead Rising game in almost 10 years, following Dead Rising 4.
- Despite the title suggesting otherwise, the developers of the game have acknowledged that Deluxe Remaster is more of a remake of the first Dead Rising as opposed to an enhanced remaster.
- The game altered Cheryl Jones' outfit, a psychopath’s character model, and removes the Erotica photo category.[4]
- However, in Japan, this new clothing is known as a sexual icon and is called "the clothing that kills virginity," which is the exact opposite of how it is treated in the United States.
