- "Yo, hungry man at the t-shirt shop in Central, eyeing the zombies. I have seen it all now."
- —Jamie Flynt
Eat the Rich is a side mission in Dead Rising 3 that takes place during Chapter 5.
Jamie will only call for this side mission after Diego has been brought back to the warehouse.
Summary[]
Nick can find a gardener, Jose Morales, standing on the rooftop of Shirts and Shades in Central City. He is looking down into the streets below, observing the zombies. When Nick speaks to him, Jose seems to admire the fact that the zombies just eat and eat, and don't "take shit" from anybody. As a gardener, Jose had to work for a lot of rich clients. Now that all of the rich people are zombies, he seeks revenge on them, and asks Nick to bring him five hunks of meat.
Because the safe zone is next to Jose, it is easy to grab the five hunks of meat from the weapons locker and give them to him. Once Jose has been given the fifth piece of meat, he will start eating it. He seems satisfied that he has now gotten revenge and is now "eating the rich." Afterward, he will join Nick's posse.
Trivia[]
- "Eat the Rich" is a phrase associated with poor people revolting against rich and upper class people, although in the context of this mission, it is distorted to mean literally eating the rich.
- Ironically enough, it was established in prior Dead Rising games that Dr. Barnaby's research was to feed the glutinous appetites of richer Americana. The greed and apathy of said nation created zombies in the long run, which has led to it being overrun for their own sins.
