- "Yo. Some business lady out by the law office in Central. Looks desperate. And rich."
- —Jamie Flynt
A Question of Law is a side mission that can be triggered during Chapter 3 in Dead Rising 3.
Jamie will not call about this mission until after Nick has met with Annie and Red at the hotel after escaping the police station.[1]
Summary[]
Nick encounters a very bitter-looking woman named Carrie LeCroix standing outside of her law firm in Central City. Carrie is an attorney who is frustrated about a lost briefcase containing important documents. According to her, the briefcase was stolen by her ex-receptionist, and she is determined to retrieve it.
Carrie requests Nick's help in recovering her stolen briefcase. Her receptionist, now turned into a zombie, can be found down the road from the law firm. After killing the receptionist zombie and retrieving the briefcase, Nick can return it to Carrie.
Once Nick brings the briefcase back, Carrie joins his party as a posse member. If she leaves the party, she can be recruited from any survivor bulletin board found in safe zones.
Notes[]
- While carrying the briefcase, Nick can use it to attack zombies, but he cannot throw it. The briefcase is also indestructible.[2]
- A Question of Law marks the first time a side quest in the series has the player track down a survivor who turns out to be dead on arrival, although Carrie is only concerned about the briefcase in the first place.
- Carrie can be killed by zombies if Nick leaves her with too many zombies around. The player must clear out zombies spawning from the vents down the stairs to her right before talking to her. It is advisable to bring posse members to assist in clearing out zombies during this side mission, as Carrie is one of the few survivors who is exposed to surrounding zombies.
