Maintenance Room[]
Sullivan gives Chuck the maintenance room key[]
As Chuck is leaving Sullivan is standing next to the vent. Speak to Sullivan by pressing Template:Bbutton.
In the PC file, missions.txt, this portion of the game in which Sullivan gives Chuck the key is called cMissionDefinition ComboIntroSullivan.

 Sullivan: Look, I don't know if I can trust you. But if you're going to keep bringing people back, I got something that might help you out.
 Chuck: I promise I won't get in your way. What is it?
 Sullivan: Supposed to be a key to all the Maintenance Rooms around Fortune City. Dunno, might by something useful in them.
 Sullivan: There are a lot of maintenance rooms all around Fortune City. The doors have a unique look.
 Sullivan: Take it, it's yours.

Corridor Cutscene[]

Hotel Journey[]
Set Chuck's watch to set the guide arrow to the case if needed.
Chuck's destination is Fortune City Hotel.
Turn right toward Americana Casino.
Enter Americana Casino at the door by pressing Template:Bbutton.
Travel through the hotel.
Head to the Platinum Strip exit.
Travel to the left. Travel along Platinum Strip, following the guide arrow.
The hotel will be on the right.
The hotel has green pillars at the entrance.
Enter the hotel, a cutscene begins.
Meeting Rebecca cutscene[]

 Chuck walks into what looks like the empty lobby of the Fortune City Hotel.
 He picks up a card on the floor.
 It is Rebecca Chang's press card.
A zombie lurches at Chuck.
 A shot is fired, and the zombie collapses.
 Rebecca: You need to pay attention out here, buddy.
 Chuck: Thanks.
 Rebecca: Rebecca Chang. Channel 6 Action News.
 Chuck begins to move to shake Rebecca's hand, hesitating. Chuck: Chuck Greene. Rebecca looks at Chuck's hand.
 Rebecca: Are you serious? From the security video?
 Rebecca: I thought you'd be long gone by now.
 Rebecca: But since you're sticking around... care to answer a few questions?
 Chuck: I'm not your story, lady, I didn't have anything to do with the outbreak.
 Rebecca: Right. Sure you didn't.
 Rebecca: And that tape showing you tampering with the cages was -
 Chuck: A fake. I had nothing to do with this. My daughter and I barely got out of there alive.
 Chuck: I need to know where you got that tape from...and who your source is.
 Rebecca: Reporters don't reveal their sources, Chuck. That's privileged information.
 Chuck: Privileged my ass. That wasn't me on the tape. I'm being set up.
 Rebecca: Why should I believe you?
 Chuck: You don't have to. But you want the big story, right?
 Chuck: Help me out and I'll give you an Interview.
 Rebecca: With the prime suspect? It has to be an exclusive.
 Chuck: Sure. It doesn't matter to me.
 Rebecca: I can't tell you my source. But there is a central security room.
 Rebecca: There'll be footage of everything that happened there. I can show you where it is.
 Chuck: Well, that's a start at least- Aren't we going to need your crew?
 Rebecca: They ran off. With all the equipment. I guess they just didn't want it bad enough. |
