Co-op Mode is a mode featured in Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case West, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. This mode allows two players to collaborate in defeating psychopaths, solving cases, escorting survivors, and engaging in various activities within the game world.
In Dead Rising 2, both players assume the role of Chuck Greene, with the option to import their own Chuck character from their save file. In Case West and Off the Record, one player controls Chuck while the other controls Frank West.
The player has the choice to set their game to either Public, allowing anyone to join their game, or Private, restricting access solely to friends.

- Losing all health does not result in a game over in co-op mode. If one player is downed, the other player must find food within a certain amount of time to prevent the downed player from dying. If both players are downed, the primary player hosting the game can choose to load a previous save, restart the story, or quit, while the secondary player is only given the option to quit.
- It is possible to play the entire game in co-op mode, but be wary of timed missions, as both players must be in close proximity to exit an area.
- In co-op, survivors will not join the two players' party until both players have gone through all the necessary dialogue.
