The Flamethrower is a combo weapon in Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case West, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is created by combining a water gun with a gasoline canister.

It attacks by shooting jets of flames, setting zombies on fire and killing them after a short time.

This weapon, along with the Fire Spitter, is used by the psychopath Brent Ernst.

Water Gun Loading Bay The water gun is found in the Holding Pens area by following the orange road from the Loading Bay to the door labeled "Security Outpost." The pen directly to the left of the "Security Outpost" entrance contains the water gun.

Gasoline Canister Holding Pens The gasoline canister is located in the Loading Bay. Right beside the stairs coming from the Shipping Office is an open blue trailer. Break open the crates inside the trailer to find the gasoline canister inside of one of them. To break open the crates, pick them up and throw them against the wall.

TriviaEdit

  • After defeating Slappy, he will drop an already-made Flamethrower at the entrance to Kids' Choice Clothing. Like many psychopath weapons, it will respawn there afterward.
  • A single tap of this weapon can set fire to all zombies in your nearby path, causing them to helplessly burn to death. This is highly effective against gas zombies.
  • It is unknown how this weapon can shoot fire, since it has no visible source of ignition.
  • The Flamethrower's attack range is increased in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
