The Gem Blower is a combo weapon in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It is created by combining Gems with a Leaf Blower.
It has only one attack that works as an improvised shotgun. Gems are launched from the weapon at high speed, killing zombies upon impact. It is a devastating weapon, as the gems continue killing even after piercing several zombies.
This combo weapon is described as:
- "Pack a leaf blower with [gems] and fire [them] at zombies like a chaingun. Watch and laugh as they slip, fall and die."[1]

Combo card location[]
In Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record, the Combo Card for the Gem Blower is unlocked by leveling up. In Dead Rising 2, it is the 6th card out of 34 total cards awarded by leveling, and is generally unlocked at levels 9 or 10.

Trivia[]
- In the PC version, there is an occasional bug where after starting up the weapon and entering aim mode, the player will hop in place and the weapon will not fire. Firing from the hip seems to momentarily fix this issue.[Verification needed]
- In the PC game file items.txt, the gems that are propelled out of the Gem Blower are called "Gemblower_Pieces".
