The Grenade is a thrown weapon in Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Case West, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
It is a small handheld explosive with an explosion radius of five meters. It can be combined with a Football to create the Hail Mary.

- After a grenade has been thrown, it can be picked back up and thrown again; however, it cannot be placed in Chuck's inventory after it has been thrown.
- A grenade can be armed by shooting it with any firearm, where it will explode after 5 seconds.
- Judging by the smoke that emits after Chuck throws the grenade, they are likely MKII practice grenades, which would emit smoke to indicate that the grenade is armed.
- If Chuck shoots the grenade, it will not emit any smoke before exploding.

There are two grenades near the "island" of fenced grass near the 4x4 beside the Fortune City Hotel. | Between the iron bar gates and the Fortune City Hotel along the wall on the grass. Starting from the entrance to the Fortune City Hotel, climb onto the grass and go southeast while walking as close as possible to the wall. Just before Chuck comes upon the iron bar gates, there are two grenades. |
