Dead Rising | Dead Rising 2 | Case West/Off the Record | Dead Rising 3 |
The katana is a melee weapon in Dead Rising 2: Case West and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. It can be combined with a sickle to create the Reaper. The katana is a lot less durable, and less fancy-looking than the katana sword. The katana is different from the katana sword, as the katana can be combined to make the Reaper; the katana sword cannot.
In Case West, it can only be found in certain areas of the map, most commonly in the Living Quarters. In Off the Record, a katana can be found on the cinema rooftop in the Platinum Strip and in the underground tunnels. It can also be found in the kitchen of Luaii Wauwii in the Silver Strip.
Magazines
- The Blades magazine will give x3 durability to the katana if it is in your inventory.
- The Games magazine will give you x3 durability to the katana if it is in your inventory.
- The durability will stack if you have both magazines (two magazine icons should show in the image of your weapon instead of just one).
