The MMA gloves are a weapon in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. They are small, open-fingered gloves used in mixed martial arts bouts. They have around 4–6 ounces of padding and are designed to provide some protection to the person wearing the glove, but leave the fingers available for grappling maneuvers such as clinch fighting and submissions.

The gloves can be combined with a box of nails to make the Tenderizers. Its durability can be increased with the Sports and Games magazines.

Attacks

Main: Tap / to punch with the MMA gloves; the attack style is the same as the boxing gloves. Chuck swings with his right hand at shoulder height. Combo: Quickly tap / again and Chuck's swings with his left hand at shoulder height. Combo 2: Quickly tap / again and Chuck swings upward with his right hand. Combo 3: Quickly tap / again and Chuck swings upward with his left hand. Alternate: Hold / to perform a powerful right hand swing. Alternate 2: Quickly tap / again to perform a follow-up left hand swing.

Trivia

• Like the boxing gloves, when Chuck goes into aim mode, he will throw punches instead of throwing the MMA gloves.
• In the PC file items.txt, this weapon is referred to as "lmmaglove".
• The character Ryu from Street Fighter is depicted on each glove.
