Making a Killing is a storyline psychopath battle that occurs during Chapter 3 in Dead Rising 3.
Summary[]
Nick must go to Almuda Farms Cold Storage to destroy the box of military supplies as part of the main mission during Chapter 3. When he arrives, however, he is quickly apprehended by Albert Contiello, a psychopathic surgeon who has been drugging survivors and harvesting their organs to sell on the black market. Nick faints under the effects of Albert's sedative.
Upon waking up, Nick finds Albert in the midst of drugging a survivor named Alejandra Garcia, preparing to harvest her organs. Nick's attempt to rise from the table causes him to knock over a cooler. Under the influence of the sedative, Nick envisions Alejandra as Albert. Nick accuses Albert of being a murderer, but Albert retorts that he's a businessman, and Nick is his "next export," prompting a psychopath battle to take place.
After Nick defeats Albert, the psychopath runs frantically around his operating room with a syringe in his neck. Experiencing the effects of his own vision-enhancing sedative, he hallucinates zombies closing in on him. In a twisted turn, he mimics the zombies devouring him, but in reality, he disembowels himself with his surgical saw, killing himself in the process.
After Albert has been defeated, Nick fully recovers and can proceed to destroy the final box of supplies while also rescuing four of Albert's victims: Alejandra Garcia, Lara, Zach and Stevie.

Notes[]
- Alejandra is the only survivor who can join your posse, but the more survivors who escape the encounter with Albert, the greater the PP reward you receive after the fight is over.
Trivia[]
- Making a Killing is the only "unmarked" side quest in Dead Rising 3, as it overlaps with a Chapter 3 main story mission.
- In co-op mode, despite not appearing in the cutscene, Dick is also affected by the drugs Nick is exposed to. This design choice was made to ensure gameplay fairness.
- If this mission is launched using the debug level select, it will appear as a side mission, and uses the Zombies Gone Wild phone call.
