The Military Shield and Axe is a gloves/hands type weapon in Dead Rising 4. It returns from Dead Rising 3, where it was previously known as the Tactical Axe. As in the previous game, the weapon consists of a military-grade battle axe and a riot shield. Obscuris mercenaries are frequently seen using this against infected hordes.

Trivia[]
- The shield itself appears to protect its wielder from gunfire, but not from explosives. While the player can utilize this function to a certain extent, there is still a chance of sustaining damage due to the enemy AI's targeting parameters for spotting the player.
