- "Hey Frank. This Paul guy says he has somethin' he wants to give you. Next time you come back to the Security Room, be sure to talk to him."
- —Otis Washington
Paul's Present is a scoop in Dead Rising.
It takes place in the Security Room on the evening of the third day. It involves a former psychopath, Paul Carson, who has decided to put his weapons to good use.
Overview[]
Otis Washington contacts Frank West on the transceiver to let him know that survivor Paul Carson has something to give him.
Paul Carson asks Frank not to let anybody know about his brief stint as a psychopath in Casual Gals in Wonderland Plaza. In return for Frank's word, Paul offers Frank his Molotov cocktails whenever he needs them.[1]

Conversation with Paul

Paul: Mr West! Over here!
Frank: I heard you had something for me. Paul: Heh he he... Yeah. First, I need you to promise me something. We're getting out of here on a helicopter soon, right? Then we'll be f-f-f-free will not we? Frank: Where're you goin' with this? Paul: I... I... I'm not really the type of guy to do something like that... Like what I did... If word of this got out once we were on the outside... That w-w-would suck. I want you to keep your mouth shut about it. If you do, I'll give you something really cool. You'll promise to keep it a secret right? Frank: You just want me to keep my mouth shut? Paul: You rock, Frank! I knew you'd see things my way! Here...take this! You can have it!
