Ronald Shiner is a survivor appearing in Dead Rising and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.
He is found in Jill's Sandwiches in Paradise Plaza during the scoop Restaurant Man. He is a greedy individual who only seems to only care about food.
Restaurant Man[]

Ronald is found inside a restaurant in Paradise Plaza. He has barricaded the front entrance and is lamenting the lack of food. When Frank West encounters him, Ronald begs for food and accuses Frank of hoarding it all for himself.
After Frank brings him something to eat, Ronald gobbles it down, belching and laughing, which provides a Photo Op. He then agrees to follow Frank to the Security Room, under the impression that there is more food stocked there.
Ronald's Appetite[]

After being rescued, Ronald waits in the room with the blue door. He soon begins complaining about the lack of food, and rallies the other survivors in the same room to head out in search of food. When Frank tells him there should be enough food for everyone, Ronald insists that he needs more than the others. He calms down if Frank gives him any kind of food, awarding Frank 10,000 PP.
If Frank does not stop Ronald's mutiny, he will leave the Security Room along with the other survivors in the same room. They will no longer count toward the number of rescued survivors.
Infinity Mode[]

In Infinity Mode, Ronald appears in Bachman's Bookporium at Paradise Plaza from 5:07:00 to 5:19:00, armed with a Cleaver. In his equipment, he carries 2 Electric Guitars, a Toy Laser Sword, a packet of Frozen Vegetables, and a Bass Guitar.
Trivia[]
- Ronald's photo is used for the Gourmet achievement, due to his obsession with food.
- Ronald's Photo Op during the Restaurant Man scoop is worth up to 10,000 PP. It occurs right after he eats the food Frank gives him.
- Richard Kelly, a survivor in Dead Rising 2, has a nearly identical rescue scenario, in which he must be given food to be saved. However, unlike Ronald, Richard does not cause a food shortage.
