Shin is a victim in Dead Rising 2 appearing in Case 6-1: Help Arrives as one of the soldiers who died during the rescue operation. He reappears in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record with the same role.
Case 6-1: Help Arrives[]

Shin was in Sergeant Dwight Boykin's battalion when the military came into Fortune City to rescue any survivors and to clear out the zombies. Unfortunately, he was killed by one of his fellow soldiers who accidentally shot him. He was about to throw a grenade but the soldier next to him shouted, "They're all around us! I think they're all around us!" and began firing randomly, one of which hit Shin, killing him. The soldier who accidentally shot Shin is shocked at his friendly fire and is then torn to shreds by a Gas Zombie. The grenade Shin was going throw landed next to Boykin and exploded, though Boykin was amazingly unharmed.
Trivia[]
- Shin shares the same model with Charlie Six, the dead soldier in the ambulance in Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, as well as 8-Ball, Jonesy, Curtis, and the other soldiers who died in the rescue attempt.
