The Sickle is a weapon in Dead Rising. It is a long reaching weapon. Grab a zombie by the head and pull them in for the kill or just swing it around and take off some legs.

It can be found in do it yourself (D.I.Y) stores around the Willamette Parkview Mall, and occasionally in Cardboard Boxes. If the player carries the Criminal Biography, Engineering and/or Lifestyle Magazine books, the sickle's lifespan will greatly increase.

Attacks

• Primary: Tap the button to behead a zombie.
• Secondary: Hold down the button to slash at a zombie's legs. This may take out a limb and force the zombie to crawl towards Frank West.
• Thrown: Hold down the trigger to go into aim mode then press the button to throw the sickle.

Trivia

The cop zombie will have his leg cut off with the sickle and will then follow Frank by dragging himself across the floor. The zombie will not do any damage to Frank though. When Frank does the dismemberment attack he is rewarded with 100 Prestige Points. The sickle cannot be given to Survivors. The "sickle" is misnamed. A Scythe, not a sickle, is actually a long handled weapon. A sickle is curved blade hand-held agricultural tool used for harvesting grain crops or cutting forage chiefly for feeding livestock.
