The Skateboard is a weapon and a form of transportation in Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

It can be used to travel certain distances faster, or just to knock down zombies while riding. However, it is recommended that Chuck avoid zombies if he is using a Skateboard for travel, as it breaks after only 4 hits.

Dead rising Skateboarding (Dead Rising 2) Having the Stunt Devil Skateboarding magazine will allow Chuck/Frank to do the ollie maneuver (jump) while riding.[1] The ollie is a skateboarding trick where Chuck/Frank and the board leap into the air without the use of the rider's hands. TriviaEdit

  • Unlike Dead Rising, there is only one skateboard design in Dead Rising 2.
  • Due to a physics bug in the remastered ports (Xbox One, PS4, and PC) of Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Chuck and Frank will not collide with the wall and get injured. Instead, the Skateboard will hit the wall with Chuck and Frank not getting knocked over.
  • There is a bug with the Skateboarding magazine where if Chuck or Frank ride on their Skateboard on a slightly elevated terrain with a nearby downward terrain and jump at the right moment, the jump height and air time from the jump will be significantly higher.
  • Combined with these two bugs, one can climb very high on unintentional pieces of terrain and get out of the map. This is best done by going to the Royal Flush Plaza Rooftop.
