Tonya Waters is a survivor in Dead Rising and Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop.

She is found in Run Like the Wind in Wonderland Plaza during the scoop Lovers. She is the girlfriend of Ross Folk and is devoted to him, concerned only for his safety.

Lovers

Tonya and Ross are found hiding in a shoe store in Wonderland Plaza. When Frank West comes across them, she begs him to help Ross, who has been shot while trying to protect her. She refuses to leave Ross behind, despite how badly he is hurt. Ross insists that Frank get Tonya to safety and asks for a Handgun.

If Frank complies with Ross' wishes, he will shoot himself in the head. Tonya, grief-stricken and enraged, will blame Frank for her boyfriend's death and refuse to go with him.

If Frank talks to Tonya instead, she can be convinced to help escort Ross to the Security Room. Due to his injuries, Ross is unable to walk far and must be carried by Frank.

Infinity Mode

In Infinity Mode, Tonya appears in Brand New U in Al Fresca Plaza from 2:07:00 to 2:19:00, and is armed with a Hunting Knife. In her equipment, she carries a Cabbage, a 2x4, a Dumbbell, a Sickle, and a Cleaver.

Trivia

• Tonya will only follow Ross while he is alive, ignoring commands or waypoints set by Frank. However, this limitation does not apply if Ross is dead.
• If Frank attacks Ross, Tonya will attack Frank in retaliation.
• It is possible that Ross' gunshot wound was caused by Jo Slade, if she had been attempting to abduct Tonya at the time.
• Unlike most female survivors, she is able to carry heavy weapons such as the Small Chainsaw.
• If Sally Mills is also rescued and brought back to the Security Room, there is a chance that she and Tonya may engage in a physical altercation. The cause of this conflict is not explained, however.
