Dead Rising 2 Clothing Template[edit source]
Thanks for making a new template. Just wondering if you'd be okay with me changing the header color from yellow to green? Green would much better suit the other templates we have already. I think of yellow as being more for Dead Rising 3.

I've given you rollback privileges. I see you've been trying to undo edits on a lot of pages lately, and you also always let me know when there are vandals around the wikia. I figured rollback privileges would make undoing edits and helping with vandals a lot easier. I've also added content moderation, meaning that you can also delete pages. Or at least, I hope that it adds that privilege. Cheers!

Re: Template[edit source]
Thanks for making some changes to the infoboxes/navigation. They're in need of an overhaul and I'm awful at technical coding. I added the lines of code that you asked me to. You didn't specify where to add it, so I added it to the bottom of the page, if that's alright.
I've got a lot going on in life in general and haven't played any Dead Rising in a dog's age. So I'm not here anymore much, although I do try to keep an eye on the recent edits, at least and fix what's needed there. If you would like further privileges, such as bureaucrat or admin, I don't mind granting you those. Locking Pages[edit source]
Hi, Amp. Hope you are staying healthy and safe.
Just wanted to let you know that I've put a lock on the Sgt. Hilde Schmittendorf page for a month long period so that only you and I can edit it. I'm tired of constantly having to fix the page. People seem to have a hard-on for nitpicking about all the sexual symbolism with the character, adding in unnecessary things and constantly repeating the same trivia that's already listed. It's also littered with errors that I have to fix. When I make edits, they've been rolled back, so I thought this would be a good idea for now. I may have to do this for other pages too, if I run into the same problem.
Just in case somebody leaves a message to ask/complain on your talk page about it and you aren't sure why. We seem to have an increase in new editors recently. While a lot of the information I've had to sort through has been productive, there's a great deal of it that I've also had to remove, rollback, fix, etc. --Nixerix (talk) 04:35, June 8, 2020 (UTC)

Some of them were decent. I'll give them another chance. But I tried to warn them yesterday, then they returned today and went back to the same old BS. I've also put a ban on the other most recent account they were using before. Opinion on Naming Articles[edit source]
I'm seeing a lot of revisions and edits around the names of some of our character pages. For example, I see Dwight Boykin often being revised back to Sgt. Dwight Boykin after its been changed. I'm seeing similar things for John Hemlock and Hilde Schmittendorf.
I can see the argument in some sense. I do believe Dwight's page was Sgt. Dwight Boykin for quite some time and he is also listed as such in Chuck's notebook. However, there isn't consistency. I see the titles being changed/reverted for some pages.. but other pages like Fontana and James Caballero don't seem to have people arguing whether they should have Lieutenant or Commander in front of their names. So some pages are being left as Sgt, Commmander (etc) while some are not, and just have the character's name.
I don't believe a person's rank or title shouldn't be included in the article title. We do not have Russell Barnaby listed as 'Dr. Russell Barnaby'. But I want to know what you think. I'm trying to find a consistent way to name all articles (one way or the other). Unfortunately I can't lock pages from being renamed without actually locking the entire page which is a tad frustrating. Maybe I should just let it go, I don't know.

I see you're hard at work on making up some new templates to replace our old ones, to better reflect more updated coding and software, etc. The migration to this new wiki software can be kind of hard to wrap my head around, so I'm slowly just trying to get used to the new tools and such available at an editing level. Thanks for taking care of things on the template side of things. I'm going through this on all three wikias I help to manage, so I haven't been around here all that much.
This is a very large wiki with lots of different infoboxes. Will it be the case that they will all need to be changed over manually? I see the new templates all have different names. I started changing over the DR2 Psychopaths (just as a start/practice) to the newer template you created. In my experience on other wikias, we have had to manually change over every article with the new infoboxes (the old ones haven't simply been able to be overwritten), but I thought I'd check in with you first before I got too edit happy.
Note: I am a dumb idiot and never check the community tab. I've just recently checked it and saw your announcement related to this very issue. Doi. Please disregard. I suppose I should just go ahead and start changing things as I have been doing then.
Templates (Again)[edit source]
Not sure if you're checking the discussions tab or not. But I've been messing around with the templates a bit. After I realized how much work it was going to be to convert every template on every page, a discussion was had about putting extra fields into ONE template and making one large template for each type of character in a game (main character, psychopath, survivor, victim), rather than having four different templates. All the templates (if we look at the original Dead Rising) have the same look to them. Much of the information is the same. As we both know, if you don't have information for a certain field on a page (say voice actor or weapon), you simply don't add them in and they won't appear.
I've converted the template InfoChar to have all of the necessary information for all the information we might need for all Dead Rising characters. This still means converting over the main characters, psychopaths and victims. BUT, it leaves the 50 or so pages of survivor pages not needing any changing (since this was the template used on these pages). This cuts down the amount of converting to maybe 15-20 pages instead of 75+. Let me know what you think. Before we start converting Dead Rising 2, 3 or 4 character pages.. we could do the same thing and it might result in us having less templates. We would just need to agree on the "master" template and mark the other ones for deletion and clean up.
We also have the option of taking the code for a new template and overwriting the old template, do we not? Taking the code from the "Infobox Food" template (which is meant to overwrite DRFood) and putting it into the DRFood template would work, would it not? Then we don't have to replace the templates on each page at all. You put the new code onto the old template and it should convert automatically? I've tested this out with 'Weapon' and 'Infobox weapon' and it seemed to work fine with no snags.
